There are many ways that people can save themselves some money on things that they use every day. Today, I came across a few simple things that you can do if any of the situations involved are relevant to products or services that you use in your day to day life. The more quick and simple ways that you can find to save a little here and there, the faster your savings will add up.
If you pay an annual fee for a credit card, why not take a little time to look around online and see whether there is a similar card that you could get with no annual fee. Some no – fee cards offer travel rewards, cash back, and other popular reward programs. The annual fees on some credit cards can be quite high, so if you are approved for a no fee card you can kiss that annual fee goodbye.
If you use an Android phone or an iPhone, you may not need to pay text messaging independently of your phone’s data package. The Android Market and the Apple App Store have a free app called Textfree which enables users to send and receive text messages through their phone’s data plan. If you visit the App Store or Android Market and read about the Textfree app and find it appealing, you can remove your text messaging plan from your cell phone bill.
You can take advantage of “meet and beat” pricing policies at stores where you shop by using a simple app on your smartphone. Shopping apps like Shop Savvy, Google Shopper, and Red Laser enable you to scan a product’s bar code and check for better prices at other local stores and online. Armed with this pricing information, you can approach a sales clerk and ask them if they can meet or beat a price that you found somewhere else. If not, you already know where else you can go to get that better price. Either way, you win.
