Scrapbook stickers are not cheap. I know this for a fact. You could easily drain your wallet shopping for 3D stickers at your local scrapbooking store. I also know this for a fact.
My magnetic attraction to themed stickers (and my dwindling bank account) is what prompted me to finally experiment with homemade embellishments. Digital stickers have been a huge money saver for me. A few years ago I would think nothing of dropping $3 to $5 on a sheet of pretty adhesives. Then, I sat down to calculate how much I spent on scrapbooking in a year’s time and I was flabbergasted by the total. Hence, my new passion for printing scrapbook stickers from the comfort of my home.
I don’t blame you if you are reluctant to jump on the homemade sticker bandwagon. I too was a bit skeptical at first. I was concerned that the quality of the adhesives would not be up to par. I also worried that I wouldn’t be able to find the same variety of designs that stores offered. Fortunately, I discovered a slew of incredible online resources that allow you to print amazing scrapbook stickers for a fraction of what it would cost if you purchased them from a traditional retailer.
Check out ScrapbookScrapbook.com. The site offers hundreds of designs that can be turned into stickers. Ditto for Cherish Creative Scrapbooking. The company offers a variety of borders, backgrounds and quotes that you can print on sticker paper and add to your memory book. Another way to save and still get high-quality stickers is to use clip art. The site, iCLIPART.com features more than 25,000 free graphics that you can shrink or enlarge to fit your scrapbook layout. In addition, Lee Hansen Graphics also offers a virtually endless amount of digital sticker options including mountains of clip art that you can print on sticker paper.
To create your own scrapbook stickers at home all you need is a computer, printer and sticker paper, which you can find at most office supply stores or online. The paper is white with a peel-away sticky back. It’s designed so that you can print images directly onto the paper, cut out the digital reproduction, and apply it to your scrapbook pages.
