This year, many places are having “sensory friendly” Easter Bunny events. It might also be called a “sensitive” or “caring” Easter Bunny. The purpose it to provide an environment that is easier for kids who have an autism spectrum disorder, a sensory integration disorder, or other special needs, to be able to enjoy a visit with the Easter Bunny. Here are a few more places you can find a “sensory friendly” Easter Bunny.
On March 31, 2012, the Huntington Mall, which is located in Barboursville, West Virginia, will have a Special Easter Bunny event. It will begin at 9:00 in the morning, and end at 10:30 in the morning. It will take place in the mall’s Community Room, which will provide a calm environment for children who have special needs to visit the Easter Bunny in. Photos and a special gift will be provided to participants.
On April 1, 2012, the Crystal Mall, which is located in Waterford, Connecticut, will host a “Caring Bunny”. The event will start at 9:00 in the morning, and will end at 11:00 in the morning. It will take place in front of the Old Navy store. There will be a free private photo session with the Easter Bunny for families with special needs children.
On April 1, 2012, the Ross Park and South Hills Village Malls, which are located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, will have a Caring Bunny event. It will begin at 9:00 in the morning, and end at 11:00 in the morning. Kids with autism can visit with the Caring Bunny in an environment that is without lines, crowds, or loud music. It is recommended that you make a reservation to attend this event.
On April 1, 2012, the Caring Bunny will visit Edison Mall, which is located in Fort Myers, Florida. This event is for children who have special needs and their families. The event will begin at 9:00 in the morning, and will end at 11:00 in the morning. There will be opportunities for kids to have their photo taken with the Caring Bunny. Reservations are requested.
On April 7, 2012, there will be the fourth annual Spring Hill Pay It Forward Festival Egg Fest. It will take place in the back park area of the Tennessee Children’s Home, which is located in Spring Hill Florida.
This the only Easter event for children who have special needs that will happen in this area. Parents must register children who will be attending the event. It is open to children with special needs and their siblings, but the egg hunt is only for the children who have special needs.
