Right now, eBook readers like Kindle, NOOK, and the iPad are super popular. Sometimes, though, it’s nice to read a book that you can physically hold in your hands, turn the pages, feel the texture of the paper, and enjoy that newly printed book smell. The eBook readers can give you the same text as the paper books, but, they cannot replicate the same experience. Here are some deals on books that are going on right now.
Powell’s is celebration Poetry Month by giving you 15% off all poetry titles. They have selected four of their favorite poetry titles for you to consider, as well as a selection of new arrivals. Keep in mind that the sale is not restricted to only those poetry titles. It is for all poetry titles in Powell’s.
Powell’s also has a sale going on that is called “Read Local”. For a limited time, you can save 30% on their selection of their best titles. This is a way that they are encouraging people to support local independent publishing. There are a total of 20 different titles that are a part of this sale. It includes fiction, historical fiction, short stories, and even an autobiography.
Barnes & Noble is having a “Buy 2 Paperbacks, Get Your Third Free!” sale. Barnes & Noble repeats this sale periodically, and always includes a new mix of titles to choose from. It is my favorite sale of all the sales that Barnes & Noble does. There are about 76 different trade paper titles to choose from. They include fiction, romance, fantasy, mystery and historical fiction books.
Amazon has a 40% off sale on their Editor’s Top 10 Picks for April. There are a total of ten titles in this sale. It includes both hardcover and paperback books.
Amazon also has a sale called “Best Books of 2011: New an Coming Soon in Paperback”. Many of the books in this sale are around $10.00. None are higher than about $18.00. It includes both fiction and non-fiction titles.
