Have you heard about the moms who took cleaning to a whole new level?
According to reports, two Colorado moms are being accused of spraying Lysol on teens they saw dirty dancing at a local high school prom.
Clearly, the mothers didn’t read the back of the Lysol can very well; otherwise they would have realized that the disinfectant spray kills 99.9% of viruses and bacteria on commonly touched, hard, non-porous surfaces.
C’mon, everyone knows even the toughest skinned teens are pretty porous.
The moms should have used Clorox.
I’m kidding.
And by kidding, I mean rocking a mean smirk thinking of the field day late-night comedians and Saturday Night Live writers are going to have with these moms who thought spraying dirty dancers with Lysol would force them to clean-up their act.
I can see the parody now:
Hey parents! Lysol is the spray you can’t live without. It helps protect your family members from germs they come in contact with every day by killing:
99.9% of mold and mildew
99.9% of odor causing bacteria
99.9% of viruses
AND
99.9% of lustful desires in gyrating teens
Jokes aside I pretty sure the moms weren’t laughing when police hauled them to jail following their spraying spree.
According to ABC News, the moms were chaperoning the Manitou Springs High School prom when they got fed up with what they considered “lewd and lascivious behavior” on the dance floor.
Reports show that one of the moms complained to a security guard that the students were dancing “like they are having sex with their clothes on.”
Meanwhile, students told police that the overzealous moms called them “sluts” and “whores” before dousing them with disinfectant spray.
A few of the students contacted police claiming the spray got in their eyes and mouths and that they had to leave the prom. Officers say none of the teens were physically hurt during the spraying incident. However, ABC News reports that the moms were cited for harassment for allegedly “directing obscene language to another in a public place.”
The Lysol moms could face fines totaling $750 and up to six months in jail if they are charged and convicted.
