I listed some green household uses for vinegar yesterday, but I am not finished. You may be amazed by all that vinegar can do for you around the house.
I don’t know about you, but I like to wash my hair in the bathroom sink, which inevitably leads to clogged drains. I have this hardcore aversion to toxic chemicals, so I was so happy to learn that you can drop the Dran-O and instead, just pour a cup of baking soda in the drain followed by a cup of white vinegar. Close up the drain with the stopper and let it bubble for a few minutes. Then, run hot water down the drain for a minute or two. The same vinegar and baking soda combination can be used to help your garbage disposal smell better too!
It seems that vinegar and baking soda is a miracle combination. If you have a stain on your linoleum, pour a little bit of vinegar on it. Let it sit for 10 minutes, then pour a little baking soda on it. Scrub and it should remove the stain.
Have dirty blinds? Yeah, me too. But, you can mix equal parts white vinegar and hot tap water to clean them. Just put on some white gloves, dip your fingers in the mixture and slide your fingers across the dirty blinds. Be sure to rinse the gloves from time to time to remove the grime.
Vinegar can also help remove stickers, price tags, or decals from furniture, windows, or walls. Just drench the sticky on the corners and sides, and then carefully scrap it off. If there is sticky residue left behind, just soak it with vinegar as well. Let the vinegar sit on the sticky for a few minutes. If needed, soak a rag in vinegar and keep that applied to the sticky section. Then, all you need to do is wipe to remove it.
