Celebrity Vegans – Part 3

And my final installment of celebrity vegans. Here’s a few actors left over from the last blog plus a hodgepodge of others:

Casey Affleck – Ben Affleck’s younger brother is also an animal rights activist who decided to go vegan.

Woody Harrelson – How could anyone as green as Harrelson not be a vegan? He committed to the diet at the fairly young age of 24. He credits it with providing him with more energy and glowing skin.

Ted Danson – Harrelson’s co-star on “Cheers,” Danson, an environmentalist, just recently became a vegan in an attempt to naturally lower his cholesterol.

Russell Brand – He’s a funny man on stage and film, but Brand takes his devotion to a vegan diet very seriously.

Bob Harper
– Harper, one of the trainers on “The Biggest Loser” seems to be the picture of health, but he went vegan to help make him stronger, more clear-headed and drop his cholesterol – an amazing 100 points!

Carl Lewis – Gold medal Olympian Lewis credits his most successful year running to going on a vegan diet.

Daniel Negreanu – Negreanu is a professional poker player and that can mean long hours. He often takes his own trailer to events so he can keep a fridge stocked with vegan fare.

Mike Tyson – A heavyweight world champion, Iron Mike has seen his share of drama. But, he credits his recent efforts of living sober and incorporating a vegan diet into his lifestyle with helping reduce the drama.

Petra Nemcova
– Nemocova, a model, lost her fiancé in the horrific Thailand tsunami of 2004. However, she became three years after that to help save ocean life.

President Bill Clinton – He’s from the south and we love greasy fried foods, but after his heart surgery, Clinton decided to switch to vegan diet. He managed to lose 20 pounds in the process.

About Libby Pelham

I have always loved to write and Families.com gives me the opportunity to share my passion for writing with others. I work full-time as a web developer at UTHSC and most of my other time is spent with my son (born 2004). I love everything pop culture, but also enjoy writing about green living (it has opened my eyes to many things!) and health (got to worry about that as you get older!).
