Next time you make a purchase, and the cashier asks if you want to keep your receipt, say “Yes!”. The back of that receipt might have a coupon, or a discount, or a way to get one if you take a survey. Here is a quick review of places that put a little something extra on the back of their receipts.
Panda Express has information on the back of their receipts that instruct you how to get a free entree item. To get it, you must complete a Guest Survey. This can be done online, or you can do it over the telephone. You must do it within 2 days of your visit to Panda Express.
Once you complete the survey, you will be given a validation code that you need to write down on the back of the receipt. Bring the filled out receipt with you when you return to Panda Express. This is good for “a Free entree item with the purchase of any 2-entree plate”. Recently, Panda Express switched over to a Paw Plate that comes with 3 items. Ask the cashier if her or she can figure out how to make the offer on the receipt work with their new system.
Taco Bell has a bunch of deals on the back of their receipt! Text “TACO” to 91318, and you will get a link that will allow you to take a survey. It doesn’t say what, exactly, the survey will get you, but in general, it is a discount on something that is on their menu. Perhaps the exact item changes from time to time?
Taco Bell also is giving away an iPad. To enter the sweepstakes, scan the QR code on the back of the receipt, or log in to Tell the Bell and complete a short survey. Winners are selected weekly by a random drawing.
Starbucks is still doing their “Treat Receipt”. Make a purchase before 2:00 in the afternoon at any Starbucks. Keep your receipt. Go back to a Starbucks after 2:00 in the afternoon on the same day, and hand the cashier your receipt from that morning. Get a cold Grande drink for just $2.00 (plus tax). Starbucks is offering this deal through September 3, 2012.
Subway sometimes has a deal on the back of their receipts. It should have information about how to go about filling out a survey. Once you complete the survey, you will be given a code. Write the code on the back of your receipt in the space provided. That receipt is now good for a free cookie (no purchase necessary).
