Frugal Preschool Party Favors

Photobucket Pictures, Images and Photos

Craft/Favor: Save money by having an activity or craft do double duty by also serving as the party favor. Making keychains, bookmarks, picture frames, and bags are fun for the kids and gives them something special to take home. If you are having a party for a girl you may want to consider making bracelets, rings, or necklaces as your craft/ party favor.

Picture Remembrance: This idea is not only a party favor but can serve as a thank you note and an activity. Gather up several dress up items from fancy dresses to rainbow hair wigs. Let the kids dress up and play to get the best images. Hang a sheet to create a background for your images. Take pictures of each child with the birthday child. Upload the images to a free image hosting site and add text with the date of the party and a thank you. Get the images printed and send to each child.

Butterfly Bounty: An adorable little treat for a girl’s party. Loosely fill a sealable sandwich baggie with candy (like M and M’s or Skittles). Then, squeeze the center so the candy only fills up the sides. Place a clothespin in the center. The clothespin will be the butterfly body and the sides of the bags will be the wings. You can paint the clothespin, glue on wiggly eyes and pipe cleaners as antenna to complete the idea.

DIY Cupcake or Cookie: Plan a cupcake or cookie bar that allows the children to decorate their own cupcake or cookie. Provide sprinkles, frosting, sugars, candy toppers, chocolate chips, etc. Plan this activity toward the end of your party so the children can take it home as their party favor!

Candy: Candy is the traditional party favor that still never disappoints. Fill up a cute cupcake liner with a variety if candy and place in a baggie and tie ribbon around it as a final touch.
