Mt. Soledad: Take in the eye-popping holiday splendor by driving to the top of Mt. Soledad in La Jolla. The panoramic view of the city glittering in its blinged out glory is a sight to behold. California Center for the Arts Holiday Tree Lighting: On December 1st, Escondido turns into a winter wonderland complete with live seasonal music courtesy of Victorian carolers, a visit from Santa, free art activities and treats, a spectacular light show, plus, real snow. A week later, the city celebrates “A California Christmas” during its 62nd Annual Christmas Parade.
