The nickname of the state of Colorado is the “Centennial State”. This is because it became a state in 1876, a full 100 years after the Declaration of Independence was signed. The Colorado Genealogical Society was founded in 1924 and is the oldest genealogical society in Colorado. Their website has links to upcoming programs and classes that the Society is going to be involved in. They have a Computer Interest Group. There have a page of Internet Resources for Colorado Research.
Colorado Genealogy Resources on the Internet is a website that is composed almost entirely of links to Colorado genealogy resources. One category has links to census records of a certain year. Other links are separated based upon the county they are relevant to. There is also information about where you can find the websites of public libraries in Colorado that have genealogy resources.
