Hi there! I’m Nicole Humphrey, the Families.com Scrapbooking Blogger. I used to guest blog on the Frugal Living blog from time to time, but it’s official, I am now a full fledged Frugal Living Blogger and will be seen here often. I have really enjoyed being a part of this ever growing community over the past few months and look forward to forming even more new friendships in the days to come.
Although I introduced myself several months ago, I’d like to do it again because much in my life has changed. I am a 32 (almost 33 now) year old single mother of two wonderful children – a son, Ryan, age 11 and a daughter, Brielle, age 8. We live with my boyfriend, Mike and his three daughters (Vanessa – 11, Melissa-9, and Jessica-6) and are working on blending our families and having a pretty high success rate! I know I am lucky. You can usually find more information about that in the single parenting blog where I occasionally guest blog.
We live in Cottleville, Missouri which is just outside of St. Louis in St. Charles County. We have 1 cat, Drinda and the plan for another cat eventually.
I’m often asked how I got involved with the frugal living lifestyle. I’ve always been drawn to saving money in whatever ways I can, however when I got divorced and was living alone with my two children on a limited budget, that really opened my eyes to the possibilities, and I worked hard at it.
I’m one of those people who has gone to the grocery store on a sale day, with coupons in hand and has walked out with hundreds of dollars of groceries for simply $25 or so.
I’m also one of those people who saves empty containers and things like that to use for other things, such as storage and organization.
I’ve been writing on the Scrapbooking Blog since March, and am really having a blast. If you get a moment, please visit the scrapbooking blog to learn more about me, or just to learn more about scrapbooking!
I am really looking forward to sharing my frugal living lifestyle with you and helping you save money and live on a budget. Your questions and suggestions are always welcome! Please just ask away!
