The upside of not having a ton of scrapbooking leftovers is that you don’t have to invest in a ton of storage. In a previous post I described my envy over a friend’s massive scrapbook sticker collection. She has all of her new and leftover stickers neatly organized in a Crop-In-Style 3-Ring Binder. In addition to the binder, which she is able to take to crops and other scrapbooking events, she also has the Clip It Up. That’s the product that really causes my green-eyed monster to rear its ugly head.
Clip It Up is one of the most popular storage items in the scrapbooking supply world. It quickly and easily organizes all types of scrapbooking products and embellishments, including stickers, ribbons, brads, rub-ons and die cuts. Depending on the type of embellishment, the circular spinning unit can hold hundreds of different items, which you can easily access with a single hand.
The sturdy frame features a metal ring that holds several swivel clips. Each clip can hold multiple items, up to 12″ x 12″ paper. You can also purchase an additional Upper Tier Add-On designed for smaller, bulkier products. Both the upper and lower tiers are easy to move and store nicely on the corner of your workspace or in a craft closet. There is also an optional cover that helps protect your products, though I don’t feel it is necessary to purchase if you keep the embellishments’ original packaging.
I like Clip It Up because you can see all of your scrapbooking stash without having to sift through boxes and containers. The unit is efficient and affordable. However, if you don’t want to invest in a specialty product you could always place your leftover scrapbook stickers in labeled Ziploc storage bags. To store the bags, punch a hole in the corner and attach them to a large plastic ring. Another option is to place them in a plastic envelope or file them in baseball card divider pages and store them inside a 3-ring binder. I just place extra stickers in page protectors from leftover scrapbook albums.
