I was sitting at home this morning, busy getting ready for the day, when an odd thought popped into my head, “How many of my readers work at home? How many of them work in an office?” As much as I love this writing job, I usually don’t walk around my house wondering about my readers. And this morning, I realized that was awfully one-sided of me. I should know more about my readers; I want to know more about my readers.
So I started to think about all sorts of questions and topics that I would love to get feedback from readers on, from the mundane to the funny, and it’s then that a brilliant idea (I’m so modest) popped into my mind: I should have “A Question A Week” column. Every Monday morning, I am going to write a question that I would love for readers to either answer in the comments section below, or by dropping me a line at Hava L (at) families dot com (I have to write it that way to avoid the spam bots.) If you have a question that you either want to ask me or have me ask the other readers, drop me line about that too. Maybe down the road we’ll have a fun contest on who can come up with best questions to ask the other readers. Hmm…I’ll have to think about that one. *Stroking chin thoughtfully*
So back to the question for this week: How many of you readers work at home, and how many work at a bricks and mortar office? How many of you work at both? I did that last one for quite a while (worked 40 hours in a bricks and mortar job, and then wrote this blog in the evenings and on the weekends) and although sometimes I felt like I never got to take a break–I’m working everywhere I go!–for the most part it worked out pretty well. I enjoyed the variety that that kind of set-up gave me.
Of course right now I am working strictly at home, and will be doing so until I go back to school May 14th. I love it, and am really glad I made the decision to do it.
That’s me–what about you? Sound off below or via e-mail!
