A Review of “My Fitness Coach”

So for the past two weeks I have been thoroughly enjoying a new Wii fitness program, “My Fitness Coach.” After nearly a month of not using my Wii Fit Plus program due to health reasons, I was feeling a little unmotivated about starting up again. I think the boredom had finally hit and I was realizing that it wasn’t challenging enough.

While I was physically active with Wii Fit, it wasn’t enough. I wasn’t sweating and to me, a good workout involves some sweat. So after several Facebook status updates from a friend who was using “My Fitness Coach,” I finally decided to give it a try. Now this is a real workout!

It is like having your own personal trainer but without paying for one. And it can be customized to fit your type of workout, how much time you want to exercise, music and more.

What I really love is the variety of intense exercises that Maya (she’s the personal trainer) takes you through. There is no chance of getting bored, especially if you choose a different focus each day.

I mix things up with a schedule. On Mondays I focus on cardio, Tuesdays it is flexibility, Wednesdays is the upper body, Thursdays is the lower body and Fridays it’s core body. In all, there are more than 450 different types of exercises that you can do.

Another feature I really like is how it incorporates exercise equipment you have. I am able to use my weights and step. I recently bought a stability ball, so by selecting that option I will be given the opportunity to also incorporate this.

This program also tracks your progress. When you first load it up, you are given a chance to input all of your information, including measurements. As you progress through it, she continues to customize and make suggestions on how to reach your ultimate goal.

I would have to give “My Fitness Coach” a thumbs up and if I could, I would give it a five star rating (actually, I just might do that since I purchased it from Amazon).
