For kids, Easter basket ideas abound, from frugal, homemade, and simple, to the fillers and fun items that bring so much color and delight.
But these days the Easter Bunny doesn’t just hop into town for the kids. Peter Cottontail comes bearing goodies for dogs and cats, too. (Not to mention the pets are dressing for the occasion by getting decked out in Easter bonnets and such.)
So where can you find Easter goodies for your pet? I’ve listed some of my favorite shops and buys below:
From Muttropolis
• Furrberry Plaid Belt Dress: I’m not one to dress my pets, but I can appreciate a cute Easter dress when I see one. Even if it is for a dog. $35.
• Carrots With Attitude Plush Dog Toy: They have smiley faces on the outside and squeakers on the inside. The perfect accompaniment to any rabbit-themed occasion. Starting at $5.99.
From Bisket Baskets
• Hop Diggity Dog Easter Gift Basket: Brimming with Tummy Treats, Cheese Biscuits, and Bow Wow Tail Wagger Carob Bar. (Heck, sounds good enough I’d like to have this basket!) $49.95.
• Cat Lover’s Gift Basket Stack and the Pampered Cat Gift Basket: Okay, these are rather expensive ($29.99 and $59.99, respectively), but they’re filled with such cute gifts like Fish Out of Water Mackerel, Three Bathed Blind Mice, and Cat Crunchies. (The Pampered basket comes with catnip and wheat grass too.)
From FunStuffForDogs.com
• Easter Bonnet: Since bonnets are for girls only, this one is appropriately pink and festooned with flowers. $10.89
• Just Ducky Basket: Comes complete with a squeaking rubber ducky, rawhide Easter eggs, and a rawhide lollipop. Now that’s what I call a treat basket! $8.99.
• Rabbit Booda Squatter: Keeping with the theme of the season, these bunnies are affordable toys at only $3.99.
From The Ritzy Rover Pet Boutique
• Easter Sampler: Organic cookies just for Fido! Frosted and cut in season-appropriate shapes like carrots, bunnies, flowers, and eggs. Cute! $7.00.
From Cat Claws
• Tulip, Cotton Tail, and Easter Eggs: Cute seasonal cat toys made of felt, handsewn, and filled with catnip. $2.95 (Easter Eggs) – $3.95 (Tulip and Cotton Tail).
