A Week’s Worth of Fall Fun

Welcome to autumn. Monday was the first official day of fall and to celebrate we kicked off a slew of simple projects to celebrate the season. Whether you are looking for affordable ways to decorate your home or you simply need kid-friendly art projects to keep your little ones busy as they count down to Halloween the following blogs should come in quite handy:

Simple Halloween Crafts: Fun with Paper Plates. Banish the “Mom-I’m-bored” blues by letting your kids turn ordinary paper plates into legitimate Halloween decorations. These craft projects are perfect for cash strapped families looking to get into the Halloween spirit.

Homemade Holiday Decorations: Fun with Pinecones. Who says pinecones are just for winter décor? This blog shows you how you can turn ordinary pinecones into fall masterpieces in just a few simple steps. The project is so easy even your kids can get involved in the fun.

Go Batty this Halloween. Older children will enjoy unleashing their creative side while making these adorable coffee filter bats that can be used to decorate your house both inside and out.

How to Make a Unique Fall Wreath with Your Kids. Put your child’s collection of all things natural to good use by using it as the foundation for an incredible fall wreath.

Fall Crafts: Making Paper Bag Pumpkins. This project is especially appropriate for children who are too young to carve real pumpkins, for people with pumpkin allergies or for those who live in places that have restrictions on Halloween décor.

How to Make Your Own Scarecrow. Not all kids embrace gory Halloween decorations. If you want to make your home more inviting to young trick-or-treaters consider making this cute and classic scarecrow and perch him on your porch this season to welcome guests of all ages.

Autumn Crafts for Kids: Fun with Leaves. Don’t look at falling leaves as a chore in the making; rather view them as materials for a fun art project. Gather up the family, head outdoors and let the adventure begin. Let your kids have a ball collecting fire colored leaves. Then, go home and put them to good use in these easy art projects.
