This is a great adventure where you’ll get to explore the best of California.
Upon your arrival in San Francisco, you’ll be met by an Adventures by Disney representative who will escort you to your transfer vehicle and assist with your luggage. Then you’ll proceed to the Sir Francis Drake Hotel where you’ll be checked in and have some time to explore and take lunch before the welcome reception. Your welcome dinner will be at Fior d’Italia where you’ll enjoy dinner and entertainment at America’s oldest Italian restaurant.
On day two, you’ll begin your day with a self-guided tour of Alcatraz Island. After lunch at Fisherman’s Wharf, a local expert will lead you on a bike tour. If you’re feeling adventurous, you can even ride across Golden Gate Bridge! The rest of your afternoon and evening will be free for you to explore or relax as you like.
Your third day begins with a walking tour of Chinatown. For lunch, you’ll have dim sum at Yank Sing restaurant. You’ll then board a motor coach for a 4.5 hour trip to Cambria where you’ll be checked in to Cambria Pines Lodge. After dinner at the lodge, adults can enjoy some private time while Junior Adventurers enjoy a Disney movie.
On day four, you’ll visit the renowned Hearst Castle overlooking the California coast. After a picnic lunch, you’ll visit Elephant Seal Beach and see mammoth elephant seals lazing on the beach in front of you. This will be followed by kayaking on the calm waters of Morro Bay. Experienced guides will point out the many birds and animals in this protected wildlife area. Dinner is quite a treat with a cookout on the sand dunes of Morro Bay’s beach.
Day five begins with a 2.5 hour ride to Santa Barbara where you’ll visit the Santa Barbara Mission. Time will then be allowed for individual exploration of Santa Barbara and lunch on your own. After another 2.5 hour motor coach ride, you’ll be transported to the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza in Los Angeles where you’ll have dinner after checking in.
You’ll tour Los Angeles on day six. Lunch will be at Disney’s Soda Fountain at the
El Capitan Theatre. The afternoon and dinner are on your own. You can explore Hollywood or relax a bit at the hotel.
On day seven, you’ll find yourself at Disneyland Resort where you’ll take a special VIP tour, and enjoy a Park Hopper ticket and Disney’s FASTPASS service. That evening you’ll enjoy a farewell dinner at Disney’s California Adventure Park in the Vineyard Room at the Golden Vine Winery. After dinner you’ll have the opportunity to enjoy a special slide show with highlights from your trip.
On day eight, you’ll enjoy breakfast at your hotel and be able to bid farewell to your fellow adventurers.
