Adventures By Disney: Spain

When you arrive at the airport in Madrid, a Disney representative will escort you to your transportation while the driver assists with your luggage. You’ll then be checked in to the Hotel Preciados. You’ll then have time to explore the hotel and surrounding area until the welcome reception and dinner.

On your second day, you’ll visit the Royal Palace and the Royal Tapestry Factory in the morning. After lunch at El Espejo Restaurant, you can either return to the hotel or tour Retiro Park with your Adventure Guides. The evening is yours to explore Madrid or take a guided walk to Plaza Mayor.

On day three, you’ll travel to Segovia, a World Heritage site, where you’ll see a Roman aqueduct that has stood for nearly 2000 years. You’ll also visit the Alcazar, a castle which was home to Spain’s kings and queens. You’ll have lunch at Meson de Candido at the base of an ancient Roman aqueduct. After lunch, you’ll have more time to explore Madrid on your own.

Your fourth day will find you traveling to Seville on a high-speed. After the 2.5 hour trip, you’ll take a walking tour of Santa Cruz and enjoy tapas for lunch. A bus tour follows where you’ll see the more popular sights in Seville. You’ll then spend the night at the Vincci La Rabida Hotel, an 18th-century palace.

On day five you can sleep in. Lunch will be a Spanish style barbeque at El Esparragal Farm. You’ll tour the grounds and Junior Adventurers will have an opportunity to learn the Spanish tile making and take home a special handmade tile. Dinner will be a feast of Spanish dishes and wines at Taberna del Alabardero where you’ll have the opportunity to learn Flamenco dancing.

The next day you will fly to Barcelona where you’ll check in to the Hotel Alexandra. A tapas lunch at Elx Porxos will follow. Then you’ll take a privately guided tour of La Sagrada Familia basilica and then see the sculptures and towers in Parque Guell. Junior Adventurers’ will then have their own special dinner and Disney Movie Night while adults enjoy some time alone.

On day seven you’ll go to the top of Montjuic where you’ll see breathtaking views of Barcelona and the Mediterranean. Children will then be able to enjoy an arts and crafts workshop taught by a local artisan. You’ll then tour the Gothic Quarter before enjoying the rest of the day on your own.

On your eighth day, you’ll visit the Codorniu winery, tour the grounds and cellars and learn about wine-making. After a short tram ride and tour of Montserrat, you will be able to explore on your own until the farewell dinner that evening.

You’ll enjoy breakfast at your hotel on your final day in Spain before being transported to the airport for your trip home.
