My penultimate look at Adventures by Disney remains on the mainland, discovering the natural wonders of The United States and Canada. Those who don’t want to go overseas but want to experience the raw beauty their own continent has to offer should love today’s look at the next three AbD vacations.
The first of our stops today, like our last look at AbD, features tours both in America and Canada. It looks at two of the countries’ gigantic national parks: Glacier National Park in Montana and Banff National Park in Alberta, Canada.
This 8-day, 7-night vacation is all about taking rides through the wilderness. Travel along the Sundance Canyon Trail on horseback or in a Conestoga wagon, brave the rapids while white water rafting on Flathead River, take a gondola ride to the summit of Sulphur Mountain in the Rockies, and return to the water for a more gentle experience canoeing through Moraine Lake in the Valley of Ten Peaks. Don’t worry; you’ll also have plenty of chances to unwind while you take your own private landscape painting session in the Rocky Mountains.
If you’d rather spend your entire vacation exploring every corner of one of America’s most famous national parks, then AbD’s got you covered. You should consider the 7-day 6-night Wyoming Family Vacation. Well, it may be a bit of a fib to say the entire week is spent in Yellowstone; while the majority of the vacation features activities there, the trip also touches down in the city of Jackson, Wyoming and in Grand Teton National Park.
Many of the highlights of the trip resemble those from the Glacier and Banff tour. White water raft along Snake River while keeping an eye out for local avian life like osprey, herons, and eagles, horseback ride through the mountains behind Brooks Lake Lodge, and hike along the West Thumb Geyser Basin. The trip also includes a private tour of Yellowstone, taking in a show at a playhouse in Jackson, and a stay at a dude ranch.
By this point I’m sure some of you were wondering if Adventures by Disney happens to stop at one of America’s most popular natural landmarks. If what you had in mind was the Grand Canyon, then you’re in luck.
Spend 8 days and 7 nights not only in the Grand Canyon National Park, but also experiencing other nearby wonders in Sedona, AZ and Moab, UT. It seems on these particular AbD vacations you just can’t get away from white water rafting; on this particular vacation you can do so along the Colorado River. You’ll also take an off-the-beaten-path tour of the Grand Canyon led by a naturalist, kick back at a cowboy cookout on the banks of the Colorado River, hike to the Delicate Arch in Arches National Park, and explore the mesas of Monument Valley on a Navajo-guided tour.
As always, rates for each Adventures by Disney vacation change depending on the year. So even if you’ve researched your trip of choice in the past, if you’re interested in taking one soon be sure to check out all the details at the official Adventures by Disney website.
