After Easter Chocolate Bargains

chocolate bunny Come monday morning, the day after Easter, stock up on all of the chocolate bargains. From Easter bunnies to chocolate eggs, there are a lot of non Easter uses you can put these items to. And for anywhere from 50 to 90 percent off, you’ll save money when you buy those after Easter bargains.

With plain solid or hollow chocolate, you have a lot of options. You can chop it up into pieces and use the chocolate several ways. For example, you can use the pieces to make chocolate chip cookies or chocolate chip muffins. You can use the chocolate by melting it down and then using it as a dip for fruit, such as bananas or strawberries. Coat plastic spoons with melted chocolate and tie a bunch of them together to make a nice set of stirring spoons for coffee.

Of course the more exotic candy, such as peanut butter eggs may be used in some of the above ways as well, but why not use it also to top cupcakes or create an ice cream bar? You could also use it to top cakes.
There is nothing wrong with actually eating the Easter chocolate candy as is after Easter. Just because something is shaped like a bunny, a duck, an egg or a chick doesn’t mean it expires the day after easter. Buy some chocolate at bargain prices and then enjoy it.

Chocolate candy can also be frozen and saved for use later. I wouldn’t suggest refrigerating it because this can cause the cocoa butter to rise to the top, but I have had very good luck with freezing chocolate and candy bars. Enjoy a candy egg while it is still frozen, of thaw the chocolate months from now when you need a treat or some chocolate for baking.
