Akavar 20/50: Day 9 (+3lbs)

I have lost a grand total of one pound.

It has been nine days since I’ve started using Akavar 20/50. Since then, my weight has done its usual dance on the scale. Up, down, up, down…psyche! When I weighed myself this morning, the scale and I had quite a conversation:

Scale: “You’ve only lost one pound in the past two weeks, slacker.”

Me: “I haven’t been slacking. I’ve really been making an effort. Maybe its your battery.”

Scale: “Nope. You just changed my battery.”

Me: “Well, maybe I’ve lost bodyfat. Take the measurement.”

Scale: “Nope. You haven’t lost any of that either. Have a crappy day, fatso!”

Needless to say, my scale and I are on the outs. I’ve been getting up at 0400 every day to drive to the gym and do high intensity aerobic workouts and lift weights before my crew wakes up. I should mention that it has done wonders for my temperament and made for very good days.

So I waved goodbye to by bathroom scale with one finger and found my tape measure. Tapey has never let me down in situations like this and this is how our conversation went.

Tapey: “Good morning, good looking!”

Me: “Give me good news, Tapey.”

Tapey: “Let’s see… You’ve lost an inch here…two inches there. Very nice.”

Me: “Thanks, Tapey. I needed that.”

Tapey: “Wait a minute! We aren’t done yet. You’re down another inch here and an inch on each thigh.”

Me: “That’s much better news than that box of gears had for me.”

Tapey: “You’ve lost six inches in the past two weeks.”

Me: “I love you, Tapey.”

Then I went off on my merry way and started my day. I spilled my coffee twice but, thanks to the great news I got from Tapey, it was all good.

The moral of this story is: some days it is just best to kick your scale to the curb because it has the personality of a skinny girl who has never been fat in her life.

Always go to Tapey for the good stuff.
