Easy and nice change up to your normal steamed or boiled asparagus.
INGREDIENTS:
2 lbs fresh asparagus
1/4 cup slivered blanched almonds
1/4 cup butter
1 tbs lemon juice
1/2 tsp salt
DIRECTIONS:
1. Cook the asparagus in boiling salted water until tender.
2. Remove from heat and drain well.
3. In a saucepan over low heat, melt butter. Add almonds and cook until golden brown, about 6 or 7 minutes.
4. Remove from heat and add lemon juice and salt to saucepan. Stir to incorporate.
5. Arrange asparagus in serving dish and pour sauce over.
