When Randy was asked to fulfill this assignment, he didn’t have to pretend. He already was facing his death, having been diagnosed with terminal cancer.
2. “A New Earth: Awakening to Your Life’s Purpose” by Eckhart Tolle. This book shows how we need to transcend our ego-based existences and learn how to live without the anger that our egos can produce.
3. “The Power of Now: A Guide to Spiritual Enlightenment” by Eckhart Tolle. This book is the prequel to our #2 bestseller and talks about how living in the “now” is the key to greatest happiness.
4. “Just Who Will You Be?” by Maria Shriver. Based on an address she was asked to deliver right after her husband became governor of California, Maria talks about how our worth isn’t based on what we do, but who we are, and we need to discover that for ourselves.
5. “Escape” by Carolyn Jessop. Carolyn left a polygamous commune run by the FLDS Church and this book outlines how she left, what she endured beforehand, and the battles she is still facing with the Church and her husband.
