What do you get for those friends and loved ones who are extremely difficult to shop for? In most cases, the answer is simple. Gift cards make easy gifts. This is the time of year when you will see a lot of gift cards in stores, conveniently located next to the cash register. Stores love to sell gift cards because it’s easy money for them. They take your money, and put it on the gift card. Retailers know that many of the gift cards that are sold never make it back to the store they came from. In fact, that is what they are hoping for, so they can increase their profits.
How many gift cards do you have sitting in your purse, and lying around your home? If you live in California, the amount of money on those gift cards will never decrease, until you use the card. This isn’t necessarily true in all states.
Right now, if you buy at least $50.00 in Amazon.com Gift Cards, you get $5.00 off your next purchase at Amazon.com. You have to do this before December 25, 2010, in order to take advantage of this deal. You don’t have to put all $50.00 onto one Amazon gift card. The deal still works if you split up the $50.00 over a few gift cards. Your $5.00 from Amazon will be sent to you in an email, after January 7, 2011, and will be in the form of a promotional code that you can use at the Amazon.com website. If you haven’t yet figured out what to buy for someone in your family, you might consider giving them a gift card from Amazon this year.
