Anamalz: Online Games and Wooden Toys

Choosing toys today can be tricky. Many toys on the market are unsafe in one fashion or another or not suitable to the development of your child. I am very picky when it comes to the toys my preschooler plays with. Anyone who has known me long enough knows I do like toys which do the “thinking” or “playing” for the child. I want toys that inspire my child to use her mind and imagination. I do not want her to be entertained but engaged. What I look for makes picking toys simpler not more difficult. Simpler because simple is the key to choosing a toy. One toy my preschooler enjoys that is simple is Anamalz.

Anamalz is an Australian based company that makes adorable animals from sustainable maple wood and textile products which and bend and pose in many different positions. They are simple toys which leave plenty of room for a child’s imagination to grow. The bendable bodies make it easy for the child to become engaged with the toy rather than just sit down and pretend it is walking, sleeping, drinking, eating, etc. The toys are safe and natural.

The company has a fund called Anamalz saving Animals. Portions of the proceeds from sales of the toys go into this fund. The funds are used to support animal and children’s charities. Anamalz makes updates on the amount of funds they contribute and where they contribute funds. If you are picky, like me, about where your money goes than you will want to look into that information.

One fun feature is an online world that you may or may not want to participate in. Since my little one is just under three, I did not sign her up for the online world. It is a fun option for an older child or if you want to play with your little one online.
