Julia Roberts used to be almost as famous for whom she was dating as she was for what film she was starring in. She was engaged to her Steel Magnolias co-star Dylan McDermott. She was also briefly engaged to Kiefer Sutherland, whom she broke up with two weeks before their wedding. Shortly after that, she went to Europe with actor Jason Patric. She has had international romances – living with Liam Neeson and dating Daniel Day Lewis. She was romantically linked to “Friend” Matthew Perry.
Julia’s first marriage, to country singer Lyle Lovett, took most everyone by surprise. The couple had only known each other a brief time before marrying and seemed to be an odd couple. After two years together – much of it spent apart due to film locations and touring, they announced their divorce. She dated actor Benjamin Bratt for almost three years. Those two seemed headed to for alter before they broke up in late June 2001.
Julia’s second marriage was almost as surprising as the first. She fell in love with cinematographer Danny Moder when the two met on the set of The Mexican in 2000. The problem was Danny was already married to Vera Steimberg Moder. A messy divorce followed and Julia was even photographed wearing a shirt that read “A low Vera.” The two eventually married in 2002. In 2004, Julia announced she was pregnant with twins. On November 28, 2004, she gave birth to Hazel Patricia and Phinnaeus Walter.
The foursome seems to be quite happy. We often see pictures of Julia and Danny with the twins. But now, we find out there will be another little Moder joining the clan. A representative for Julia announced that Julia is pregnant with her third child. The baby is due sometime this summer. Julia can be seen – or rather heard – this holiday season in Charlotte’s Web as the voice of Charlotte. Her next film, Charlie Wilson’s War co-starring Tom Hanks, will be released next year. I am thinking that the new mommy-to-be will be relaxing until her little bundle of joy arrives.
