Meet Andrea Nott
Andrea’s future career goals include completing a biology degree when she decides to attend college that will enable her to become a teacher or a dermatologist. However, she has postponed her education to obtain her more immediate goal of representing her country in the 2008 Olympic Games.
Andrea loves to cook and is a fan of the Food Network. To relax after a long day of training, Andrea likes to spend time with her family, and when she has time, cook dinner. Her favorite things to cook are salmon, asparagus, chicken and pasta. She also enjoys cooking dinner when she has roommates that are on the team.
Why Root for Her?
Andrea and teammate Christina Jones secured their trip to Beijing in the duet event by earning the gold medal in the duet portion of the 2007 Pan American Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Prior to the Pan Am Games, Andrea and Jones made a splash on the international scene by grabbing a bronze medal in the second annual 2007 FINA World Trophy Cup. The pair posted a score of 96.666 and showed they were improving after taking home fourth place the year before in the inaugural event.
Andrea is also a member of the U.S. National Team that was named in April. The team solidified its Olympic Games berth in July by earning gold medals in the team event at the 2007 Pan American Games.
