With the size of her new home (which is about as big as a small country) and the number of little ones she has to protect I suppose Angelina Jolie presents a good argument as to why she feels the need to arm herself with guns.
While others may feel that a home is not a place for loaded guns, especially with a gaggle of kiddies running around, Jolie maintains that her guns are necessary and she wouldn’t hesitate to use the weapons to protect her growing family.
And that’s not all the actress, who is pregnant with twins, recently shared with reporters about the heat she’s packing.
According to Jolie, she keeps the same guns featured in the movie “Tomb Raider” in her own home and she admits that she and her partner Brad Pitt are well versed in using them.
The movie star says her action roles in films such as “Mr. and Mrs. Smith” taught her how to handle guns.
“I bought original real guns of the type we used in Tomb Raider for security,” Jolie recently told British reporters. “If anybody comes into my home and tries to hurt my kids, I’ve no problem shooting them.”
Jolie added that she and Pitt are also very pro self defense and are actively teaching their children how to protect themselves.
“I think it’s good for anybody to learn a skill when it comes to fight training, be it kung fu, boxing or kick-boxing, because self-defense is important,” the 32-year-old mom told reporters. “Brad and I want our kids to learn it. They’re going to get into a fight someday, so they might as well learn how to take care of themselves.”
Paparazzi you have been warned.
Jolie and Pitt have four children: 6-year-old Maddox, 4-year-old Pax, 3-year-old Zahara, and 2-year-old Shiloh.
The actress adds that she is fortunate to have a partner like Pitt who agrees with her philosophy on child rearing and self-protection.
