Having learned nothing from Kiefer Sutherland, Lindsay Lohan, Rebecca De Mornay, or Mickey Rourke, actress Mischa Barton was arrested this weekend on DUI charges. After straddling two lanes and failing to signal when turning, the 21 year old was pulled over by sheriff’s deputies on La Cienega Boulevard at 2:45 a.m.
The deputies found Mischa had been drinking and was in possession of marijuana. Oh yeah, and just like Britney, Mischa was driving without a driver’s license too, according to a statement released by Sgt. John Hocking of the sheriff’s department.
Mischa, perhaps best known for appearing on the teen drama “The O.C.,” posted a $10,000 bond and she was released after spending almost seven hours in the West Hollywood jail. Her hearing will be held on February 28th.
And, another Hollywood couple is divorcing. Sean Penn and Robin Wright Penn have decided to call it quits. The couple met on the set of the 1990 movie State of Grace. They became a couple, but did not marry until 1996. The couple has two children – son Hopper Jack, 14 and daughter Dylan Frances, 16.
Sean, 47, has been one of the most respected actors of my generation, winning an Oscar for Mystic River. He wrote and directed this year’s “Into the Wild,” which has received two Golden Globe nominations and four SAG Award nominations. Before marrying Robin, Sean had a tumultuous four-year marriage to Madonna.
Robin Wright Penn has been acting since 1984. She starred in 193 episodes of the soap opera “Santa Barbara” as Kelly Capwell before moving into movies. She is best known for appearing in “The Princess Bride,” “Moll Flanders,” and as Jenny in “Forrest Gump.”
Sean and Robin appeared together in two movies, 1997’s She’s So Lovely and 1998’s Hurlyburly. Sean was nominated for an Independent Spirit Award for Best Male Lead for Hurlyburly.
