And the rich just get richer…
By now you know that Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt pimped out their kids… I mean sold the rights to their newborn twins’ first pictures for a record breaking $14 million. Of course, the couple donated the money from the photos to help impoverished children of the world live a better life, so the move was justified in their minds and their personal bank accounts are not heftier for doing so.
Now, consider the latest report out of France (where Brangelina and crew have set up house), which claims that Pitt and Jolie have the opportunity to make a pretty penny just by raising their brood within the country’s borders.
According to a French newspaper, the Jolie-Pitt household is eligible for almost $2,600 a month in child benefits. The report says prior to moving to the region the “Ocean’s Thirteen” star registered his family at the local town hall thereby making them eligible for France’s parental subsidy program.
The financial benefit program is available to all families living in France regardless of their economic status. According to French law, the Jolie-Pitt’s are eligible for both a “nanny payment” of $975.84 a month, plus an “orphan allowance” of $508.97 for each of their three adopted children. That means should they opt to accept the financial aid (reports say the family is expected to deny the money) the clan would be given a grand total of $2,592.81 per month.
There’s no word on how long Jolie and Pitt will remain in France, though some sources say they signed a three-year lease on the 880-acre estate called Chateau Miraval where they are currently residing.
Three years! In that time they could add at least a couple more kids to their clan. If that were the case (providing the new additions were biological) the family could add $164,000 per year to their already massive fortune.
