What’s the ultimate goal of many Disney fanatics? See all the films and television shows? Visit all the parks? Work for the company, at one of the parks or even in the movie division? I know for many, it’s the latter. A lucky few are qualified to really work in making magic: to be an animator, or an Imagineer. Many of us just don’t have the skill set to do much. What kind of job could knowing everything about the Disney parks get us? How about a seat on the Disney Moms Panel?
You don’t actually get paid to be a Disney Mom (or a Disney Dad). But if you love the Disney Parks and would love to help others with their questions about them, an appointment to the panel could be an ideal. If so, you’re in luck: the Disney Moms panel is currently accepting applications.
If you’re not certain of the details of what it means to be a Disney Mom (or Dad: men “sit” on the panel as well), check out my post on the topic here. For a quick refresher: Disney Moms and Dads are experts in Disney vacations who post on an online vacation planning forum.
The panel was founded in 2008 to be a one-stop hub of advice for those planning a Disney World vacation. Today it’s expanded: Moms don’t have to just be experts in Walt Disney World: they can also know all about Disneyland, Disney cruises, Adventures by Disney, Disney Vacation Club/Disney beach resorts, or any other sort of Disney vacation you can imagine.
The more you know about Disney vacations, the better. However, if you’re only an expert in one, there still might be a place for you on the panel, particularly if it’s a less common one like an international Disney park or Adventures by Disney.
If you’d like to see if you have what it takes to be a Disney Mom or Disney Dad, go to the official Disney World forums here for information, or to fill out an application. There’s just one catch: you’ve got to do it fast. Applications are only being accepted through tomorrow: September 14, at 11:59 p.m. EST. Or until they reach 14,000 applicants: whichever comes first.
