What are Arc-a-Teks about?
It is because of the Arc-a-Teks that mankind has progressed in its skills as builders and developed its great cities. It is because of the Arc-a-Teks that mankind has progressed from loose bands of nomads into great societies. And it is because of Arc-a-Teks that mankind has progressed in its character and begun its quest to be true shepherds of the Earth. But there is still much work to be done…
The Arc-a-Teks are here to help us build, to create that which has not been done before. Your job is to do exactly that! Build. Build new Arc-a-Teks and other Superstructs creations and send us images. We’ll post them in our user-created section of this site. Your creativity is our future. Let’s make it together!
What are Arc-a-Teks?
Arc-a-Teks are characters you build. Each bucket contains building
blocks to build two characters. The characters are easy for little hands to build but not so easy a five or six year old would become bored. The characters are adorable and a great size for preschoolers mini hands. Keep in mind the age recommendation is for three and up due to small parts. The pieces are well constructed and can be built into more than the characters shown. The fact that it comes in its own easy to transport bucket is a definite plus.
What other features are there about Arc-a-Teks?
Online Codes: Each bucket of Arc-a-Teks comes with codes to reveal more Arc-a-Teks characters. For children old enough to use the computer this is a fun feature. For children not old enough or with no access to a computer this feature is a moot point. The online features look to be quite fun and more content and activities are being developed all the time.
Three Sets: So far there are only three sets. With three sets it makes collecting all of them easy and affordable. As time goes on I am quite certain the line will expand but in the meantime there is not much to expand if you have all three sets. The sets only have enough pieces to build the characters as shown on the bucket. Depending on your child this may or may not decrease the fun. However, the line which developed Arc-a-Teks has plenty of sets which work with the pieces.
Overall this is a fun toy which will provide creative playtime for your child. I love that the child builds characters since often building structures or vehicles can be too abstract for little ones.
