Screaming Toddlers

It seems that I am always telling my toddler to use his “inside voice.” I don’t know why he feels the need to scream on a regular basis. Single Parents with Migraines

It is hard being a single parent. So what happens when you have a migraine and need help watching your child? Luckily for me, I live with family members who are usually able to help with my son when I’m sick. I have disabling migraines and it is very difficult to watch my son when it hurts to open my eyes. Involving Children in Genealogy

As we get older, we learn the importance of Genealogy. As kids, maybe we didn’t realize what Genealogy was all about. We may not have appreciated knowing about our ancestors until we were older. Toddlers and Grandparents

My son is very fortunate in that my grandmother, age 76, is still able to care for him. He has “Grammy Days” and spends time with her. They listen to Bluegrass music and dance around the living room. They also spend time watching cartoons and movies, reading books and occasionally go outside for a walk. Valentine’s Day for Single Parents

Is Valentine’s Day only for lovebirds? I don’t think so. Should single parents be frustrated with being single on a day that focuses so heavily on couples? I hope not. Keeping Toddler Toys Clean

We all know that toddlers can be very messy. They are just learning to do so many new things. They haven’t quite mastered coordination yet. Creating Your Family Group Record

A family group record allows you to list everyone in an entire family. It will take several charts in order to complete a family group record. The family group record is several pages of one chart. The chart begins with a husband and allows you to mark if the husband remarried and has additional pages for additional marriages. Then, the chart will ask for the wife and then for each of the couple’s children.
