The Shy Sales Person

(and my attempt at poetry) Once upon a time there was a mouse who was so quiet and meek. Every time she tried to talk all that came out was a squeak, She had no idea in the world if success could be hers Because she was afraid to go talk to the big mighty bears. The bears were not big, though to the mouse they seemed so They were as tall as the mouse if she stood on her tip toes. But in her mind she was so tiny and gray And she didn’t think she had it to … Continue reading

The Success Prayer

Since it is Sunday, I thought I would write a prayer for success. Dear God— I pray for you to help me attain success. I ask for you to show me strength when all I feel is weakness. I ask that you help me identify my “why” and always keep it near my heart. When I feel like I can take it no more, I ask that you have faith in me and teach me to have faith in myself. I pray for you to help me learn the skills I will need to make this work. Please show me … Continue reading

Attitude Check!

So, what’s your attitude today? Are you optimistic? Positive? Motivated? Happy? Frustrated? Ready to give up? Passive? Your attitude = success. So, if you are positive, you will have a positive day today. If you are frustrated, your business won’t get far. Attitude works in a few different ways, both internally and externally. That is why having, or even faking, a good attitude can make the difference between success and failure. INTERNAL Your internal attitude is like your prophesy. If you feel you are unstoppable, you will be unstoppable. Those who have positive attitudes get things done not because they … Continue reading

Working over the Weekend

When you work from home, it’s hard to “clock out” as Kori blogged about earlier this week. Work is always there. So when the weekend comes, sometimes it’s hard to escape. For me, writing can actually be relaxing. However, I also need to make sure that I put work away and be part of the family. The best way for me to “take time off” is to get out of the house. For my birthday, my husband bought me a laptop. So right now I am sitting on the couch watching cartoons with my children. This is what they want … Continue reading

Time to create habits We talked about creating new habits that will help you in your business. The Hype Part of finding a business is being able to sort through legit opportunities and opportunities that … Continue reading

How the Unorganized Person Stays Organized

My definition of organization means getting everything done that needs to be done that day and being able to find what I need to find when I need it. Everyone has a different personality and mine does not include organization. Though it doesn’t appear that there is any rhyme and reason to my office or the way I do things, in reality my lack of organization is my organization. I have many piles all over the place, but I know what is in those piles. I lose more things when I clean my office or reorganize the piles then by … Continue reading

Why Do Jews Love Bacon?

I used to love spending the night at my friend’s homes. My favorite part was always breakfast. Every morning I would wake up to the sizzle of bacon. My friends’ moms soon caught on about my love for bacon and would always buy extra, just for me. I don’t like ham, and sausage is OK, but there is something about bacon that I have a hard time believing that it breaks all Kosherat laws. Keeping Kosher means observing the dietary commandments of God. One of them means you can not eat animals with split hooves. Back then, it had to … Continue reading

Mela, Part II

Yesterday I posted about Melaleuca and their teams. Today I want to talk about why they have so much buzz. One reason is there are a ton of ads for all the different teams, and you have no idea what they do by reading the ad. The only way to get more info is to fill out a request form. Another reason is their marketing technique. I know two people who are very successful with the business. They are wonderful people who love the products. I respect both of them. They work hard. They also market their business locally. However, … Continue reading

Keywords that Flag a Scam

I read a lot of posts asking “Is this a scam?” The answer is most often “yes” before even reading what they are asking about. All scams have a similarity to them. Here are some keywords to avoid when applying for a job or business. “This is not a scam.” If they are not a scam, why do they feel the need to tell us? Can you see a job listing for an accountant. “Wanted, someone with experience in accounting, 5 years experience required. This is not a scam, but a legit job.” They add this to try and brush … Continue reading

M.O.M Team, Stayin Home and Lovin It, who are they?

OK, I’m going to open up a can of worms. I saw another post trying to figure it out and feel the need to blog. First, the names above are names of teams. There are many, many other teams out there. So you will find the same company listed under numerous names. Let me start by saying my opinion is formed from being a message board moderator. I delete a lot of spam, but a lot of the spam I delete is either from one of these teams. I have read a ton of posts both for and against the … Continue reading
