Growing up, I always had good friends. In my first high school, I chose a quiet group of LDS kids to hang around with and I always felt like my standards were respected. There’s something really appealing to me about a professionally bound book containing my own photos, text, and graphics. Perhaps it’s the writer and wanna-be designer in me that loves seeing all my work printed and presented beautifully for others to see. This section of the For the Strength of Youth pamphlet is one of the shortest, but oh what a difference it makes in your life! Many of us have heard President Monson talk about an “attitude of gratitude” and how it will make our lives seem happier and more bountiful. Flip Video Ultra Review

I’ve never owned a camcorder before (gasp!). My parents used to have one of those huge ones from the Eighties, and I remember using it a couple of times, but our family was never too big on home videos. Then I got a point-and-shoot camera that could take videos. I thought that was a fun option, but unfortunately it didn’t record sound, so I rarely used the function. Understanding agency and accountability are fundamental in the LDS faith. Without agency, the whole Plan of Salvation doesn’t make much sense. If we didn’t come to Earth to make choices and choose through our actions to go back to our Heavenly Father, then why are we here? Have you read the For the Strength of Youth pamphlet lately? I hadn’t until I was called to a Young Women calling a while ago. All I remembered was that as a youth I used to think of the pamphlet as guidance for what I wasn’t supposed to do. As I looked at it again, I was amazed at the simple doctrines, the understanding, and the love that radiates from the pages of this pamphlet. Everything is so direct and simple. An FHE Challenge

Yesterday in Sunday School we learned about Moses’ last sermon to the Children of Israel. We learned about the advice he gives them, about the phylacteries they wore, and the symbols they placed on their doorposts to remind them of their God. While we don’t wear these leather bands on our heads and arms, we aren’t so different today.
