Baby Einstein’s Best Books

Those of you who have read my previous blogs know that I am a big fan of The Baby Einstein Company and its products. Well, I usually blab on and on about all of the wonderful videos. Here you will find a small change of pace. Of course there are many books from The Baby Einstein Company, but there are three books that my daughter has which she absolutely adores: “What Does Violet See? Raindrops and Puddles,” “Windows to Color,” and “Mirror Me! A Mirror Book.” All three books were written by Julie Aigner-Clark, the founder of The Baby Einstein Company, and illustrated by Nadeem Zaidi.

What Does Violet See? Raindrops and Puddles
This book is about a little mouse named Violet who loves rain and puddles. She is walking around in the rain to see if she can find a big puddle. On her way to finding that big puddle, she sees a little puddle, a leaf that is in water flowing along the curb like a stream, a worm, and a smooth stone. Join Violet in her attempt to find that perfect puddle.

Windows to Color
This book introduces your child to red, yellow, orange, green, and blue. Don’t ask me why they did not include purple — I have no idea, especially since the zebra on the front cover is purple. In any case, each color has words that go along with it, as well as real-life pictures of objects which are that color. In addition, there is a famous work of art representing each color. For example, the words used to describe yellow are warm, sunny, and light. Vincent van Gogh’s “Arles: View from Wheatfields” is presented, along with pictures of a pencil, a lemon, and ducklings.

Mirror Me! A Mirror Book
This book features different Baby Einstein characters making faces. On each opposite page is a little mirror where your child can imitate the face of each character. My daughter’s favorite page is the one with Frog, who sticks out his tongue. She always says, “Blah!” when we get to that page. This one is definitely her favorite of the three books — and mine.

These three books will make and excellent addition to your child’s library. From learning colors to looking at yourselves in the mirror, you and your child will have loads of fun reading these books together.

All three of these Baby Einstein books are available from The Baby Einstein Company, Amazon, and other retailers.
