Baby-palooza

If it were up to singer Thalia’s famous hubby their new daughter would be their fourth not their first, but the busy entertainer had other ideas. Differences aside, Thalia and her husband, record producer (and Mariah Carey’s ex) Tommy Mottola are now the proud new parents on a healthy daughter born early Sunday morning.

According to the couple’s rep, Thalia gave birth to Sabrina Sakaë at 2:44 am on October 7th — after 29 hours of labor. The newest Mottola weighed 8 lbs, 4 oz, and measured 19.75 inches.

The couple’s first child will reportedly reside with her parents out of the Hollywood spotlight in Colorado.

As for the baby Mottola’s unique name, Sabrina means “princess” in English and Sakaë means “prosperity” in Japanese.

When the Mexico City-born singer announced her pregnancy in June she revealed that her 58-year-old husband wanted to expand their family for years, but she wanted to accomplish more with her career first.

Since the birth of her daughter, the 36-year-singer says she definitely sees more kids in her future. But, first she says she plans to write a new book “on how to look gorgeous and phenomenal and incredible during your pregnancy.”

Perhaps, Thalia should include tips from expectant mom Halle Berry in her new book.

The 41-year-old gorgeous Oscar winner looks better than ever as she enters her second trimester.

In a recent interview with TV’s “The Insider” the actress says she loves being pregnant.

“There is nothing bad about it,” Berry said. “The morning sickness and the vomiting and the hot sweats. Nothing’s been bad about it. I’ve loved every second of it,” she said.

Berry also spoke about looking chic in maternity clothes.

“It’s a hard concept for me to fathom that I’m going to have to wear maternity clothes,” the actress told “The Insider.”

While many other moms-to-be are already donning maternity garb in their fourth month, Berry says trendy fashions are on her side and plans to wear “normal empire waist items” until her eighth or ninth month.

So not only is she drop-dead gorgeous, but now Berry is telling the world that she plans to avoid looking like a sack of potatoes during her pregnancy too.
