Whether it is your first baby or your third, you will probably want to register somewhere. After all, this gives family and friends a place to go to get you exactly what you need. Putting what you want in a registry is easier now than ever, since most places allow you to do it online.
But, what should you put on your registry? Although you may be tempted to put cutsie things o your registry, you do want to list things you really need. Here are a few registry essentials you may want to consider:
Baby Bedding
If you already have your nursery set up, be sure to pick bedding that is color coordinated. You will need at least two sets of bedding so you always have at least one washed and available.
Car Seat
Even if you have other children, you will still need a new car seat for the new baby.
Diaper Bag
Diaper bags are so fashionable now, why wouldn’t you want to carry one? Plus, it will hold all the baby necessities – diapers, bottles, rattles, wipes, formula, changing pad, etc.
Bottles
While some chose to breast feed, some have to bottle feed for whatever reason, so bottles are a good, relatively inexpensive choice for the baby registry.
Strollers
Whether you want a stroller/car seat combo or just a regular stroller, this is a great addition to your registry. While it is a bigger ticket item on the list, family or friends can go in together for this purchase.
Sleepers
New babies are messy, so you will need plenty of sleepers, preferably the one-piece to cover the babies little tootsies.
Baby Shampoo, Lotion, Brush and Comb
While not the most exciting of baby gifts, it is certainly something that will be used.
Swaddling Blankets
Another inexpensive item, swaddling blankets are always needs (and much appreciated) by new parents.
Baby Bath Tub
Some parents like to wash the baby in the sink, but I always preferred a tub as it is smaller and easier to use.
