Baker’s Square is offering a gas relief promotion. No, it’s not free packages of Beano. It’s the other kind of gas. You know, the one that’s making BioDiesel more and more attractive. Right now, bring in your gas station receipt and get all-you-can-eat pancakes for however much you paid per gallon (minimum $2.99 – doubtful that many of us will have a problem going over the minimum).
I’m not a huge pancake eater, unless they have strawberries on them or blueberries baked into them. The syrup is just too sweet for me. Unless they have 100% maple, I doubt I could stomach more than one or two. They’d actually make money on me. But I have a couple of teenaged boys who appear to have hollow legs. Their dad is always looking for something to do with them, and a pancake-eating contest is right up their alley. My bet is on my 90-pound youngest son. It’s always the little ones that pack it away!
They’ve partnered with GasBuddy for this promotion. If you’ve never used their site, you should. It tells you where the least expensive gasoline for your area is. No surprise that Arco is the cheapest here; it always is, but they are cash only. Costco is, of course, the very lowest, but not everyone has a membership. I was a little shocked to see that our local 76 station is a quarter per gallon more expensive. Ouch. GasBuddy relies on the general public to report prices. They’re probably pretty accurate. I can’t imagine a competitor taking the time to post false info. The site also has some gas saving tips, most of which you probably already know, but they’re still worth reminding.
