The main suspect in the brutal murders of Oscar-winner Jennifer Hudson’s mother, brother and young nephew, will remain behind bars until December, according to new reports.
William Balfour, the man police are calling a “person of interest” in the slayings of 57-year-old Darnell Donerson, 29-year-old Jason Hudson and 7-year-old Julian King, could have walked out of jail a free man today, but the Illinois Prisoner Review Board denied him the chance.
According to news reports, Balfour’s hearing ended this morning with a decision that there is probable cause to believe that he violated parole and should remain behind bars. Balfour has been in custody since October 24th, the day the bodies of Hudson’s mother and brother were discovered at the family’s Chicago home. King’s body was found three days later in an abandoned SUV near a building where witnesses say they saw Balfour enter the day of the shootings.
Parole review officials say the board did not base its decision to detain Balfour on his alleged involvement in the murders, though they did reveal that Balfour’s former girlfriend told police she saw him with a gun that appeared to match the murder weapon.
Despite the information, Balfour has not been charged in the Hudson family killings.
BRITNEY’S SON REMAINS HOSPITALIZED
Britney Spears’ son will remain in the hospital for one more day, according to reports.
Two-year-old Jayden James was reportedly rushed to the hospital yesterday after suffering what’s being called a “severe allergic reaction.” No word on what caused the boy’s reaction.
The tot’s hospitalization came less than 36 hours after he and his brother Sean Preston arrived in their mom’s hometown of Kentwood, Louisiana. It was the boys’ first trip out of California with their mother since she lost custody.
Word has it that Brit and her mom spent the night at the hospital with young Jayden, who is now reportedly on the road to recovery.
Reps for the singer say Jayden should be discharged sometime tomorrow.
