Beauty on the Run

There is nothing worse than waking up late and having to quick get ready and rush out the door. This is especially true if you are a mother and have kids to also get going. No one likes to step outside without looking somewhat put together. So what can you do to create beauty on the run?

When it comes to makeup, less is more. It really is true. I do enjoy putting on my eye shadow on some days but there are other days where I really don’t have time to mess with it. If I am in a rush, I will quickly put a light line of eyeliner on and then coat my eyelashes with lengthening mascara. Just the small line of eyeliner and mascara brightens my eyes and I don’t look tired or harried.

I think most of us can’t leave without some type of foundation on. It doesn’t take long to put on the foundation and put on some mascara. If you want to feel even better about yourself, throw on some lipstick. It takes a second and adds some color. You can easily spend less than five minutes putting on makeup.

What about your hair? Of course, it will depend on the type of hair you have and the length. You might just want to put it up, which can actually look very nice and takes a second to do using a hair clip. A quick brush through and throwing in a barrette might be all you need to do.

If your hair is limp and you don’t have time to curl it, spritz it with some hairspray and then scrunch it. Or you can use a fine-tooth comb to rat it up a little, just to give it some volume. You really don’t have to spend a lot of time in front of the mirror fixing your hair.

If you do like to curl your hair and don’t have time in the morning, then try putting in soft rollers the night before. When you wake up, all you have to do is unroll and you have bouncy curls.

You can achieve beauty on the run with just some of these tips. I bet there are readers out there who have additional tips that they could add.
