Beef Goulash

Beef Goulash
A traditional dish that is still a favorite. Best served with egg noodles.

INGREDIENTS:
3 tbs Vegetable Oil
1 lb Cubed Round Steak
3 Medium Onions, chopped
1/2 tsp Salt
1/4 tsp Pepper
1/2 tsp Garlic Salt
1 tsp Paprika
1/4 tsp Sugar
2 cup Hot Water
1 tbs Unbleached Flour
1/4 cup Cold Water
1/2 cup Heavy Cream

DIRECTIONS:
1. Heat vegetable oil in a large fry pan or Dutch oven.
2. Add meat cubes and brown well, approximately 10 minutes.
3. Stir in onions and cook until soft.
4. Sprinkle with salt, pepper, garlic salt, paprika, and sugar.
5. Blend thoroughly.
6. Pour in hot water, cover and simmer gently about 1 1/2 hours.
7. In a small jar or container, shake or blend flour with cold water.
8. Be sure to break up all lumps.
9. Add to meat about 7 minutes before the end of the cooking time.
10. Stir constantly until sauce is thickened and bubbling.
11. Remove from heat and stir in cream.

Cook: 2 hours
Serves: 8
