We all know about the Black Friday deals that occurred this month as desperate
retailers scramble to get some of that holiday money. But are there any other
bargains specific to the month that you can get right now? Of course there are.
And waiting until the end of the month will mean the best prices for you.
Here are some of the things you should be thinking of buying, if you want to get
the best deals of the year.
Clothing is on a huge sale right now. This includes fall-clothing blow outs with
tons of items on clearance and then marked down even further. Forget 50 percent
off. Near the end of November, you can do much better than that. And don’t be
afraid to look into winter wear on clearance prices, too. Stores are trying to
unload last year’s stock that didn’t sell too well. Winter wear has some huge
mark downs for men, women and children. Even pets can get in on the act with
cute sweaters and jackets that did not sell last year.
As the cold weather blows in, blankets and comforters have some good sales, as retailers are trying to get you in the door. Look
for down and eco-down (the green version) to be discounted. You also might find
a few lightweight blankets left over from Summer and Fall, too.
Finally, go out to your nearest grocery store and stock up on Thanksgiving
fixings. Who says that you can only enjoy pumpkin pie on Thanksgiving itself. If
you are lucky enough to find discounted frozen turkey, stock up in your freezer.
it is one of the most economical things to do. Cans of cranberry sauce, pumpkin,
yams and other veggies abound and can be enjoyed all through the rest of the
year and into the next. Rolls and stuffing can be frozen.
