There’s a lot we can all do to make better personal fitness choices. We can get up off the sofa and walk to change the channel rather than use the remote. We can wash the two or three dishes in the sink by hand rather than just tossing them in the dishwasher. We can walk to the corner store to pick up one or two items that we need rather than driving there.
We can park farther away from the store when we do drive. We can build a regular exercise routine. We can add steps to our daily lives. We can cut back on eating fast food. We can make healthier snack choices like selecting fruits or nuts rather than a candy bar. We can drink more water. We can eliminate coffee and soda as staples in our diet.
The ability to make better personal fitness choices exists for all of us. The simple fact is, we just need to want to make these choices. All of us want to live long, healthy lives. All of us want our children to live long, healthy lives. The best way to accomplish these goals is to live healthier and to make better personal fitness choices.
What personal fitness choices will you make today? How can you help your children to make better personal fitness choices? What personal benefit would you like to gain from better fitness choices?
