Cascade Ice is a product from the Unique Beverage Company, LLC. I love the name of that company. As someone who is always looking for something refreshing to drink the name of the product draws me in. I think to most who want to maintain a healthy lifestyle or in search of low calorie options, taste is important. I am a water drinker but there are times I like to branch out because water can be boring. I do not want to get sucked into drinking soda due to the high amount of sugar and high fructose corn syrup. So what options are out there?
First, let me start out by saying that the 2 calorie Cascade Ice drinks contain sucralose. I am not a fan of sucralose, however, that did not disqualify this item because the decision to consume it or not is personal. Cascade Ice offers other varieties which do not contain sucralose. Based on the taste of the 2 calorie drinks, I am certain they taste great. Based on the quality, varieties and alternatives, I feel this product is worth presenting.
Second, I was given the opportunity to review the new 2 calorie Cascade Ice drinks. I was able to taste the Orange Mango, Lemonade and Acai Pomegranate Drangonfruit.
Orange Mango
The taste was crisp and sweet but not an overwhelming sweetness as in orange soda. This was my favorite of the three. I love the light carbonation in this and the other drinks I will list.
Lemonade
This was the favorite among my kids. I only had a small taste since they loved it so much. It was tart and sweet. Normally I have a strong dislike for lemonade in general. However, the carbonation and light taste made this acceptable to me, a person who dislikes lemonade. My kids requested I buy more of it.
Acai Pomegranate Dragon Fruit
This was the least favorite among the kids but I enjoyed it. It had a light taste normally not associated with such strong flavors like acai and pomegranate. It was refreshing without the pomegranate taste being overwhelming. I like pomegranate but at times it can be too tart to be refreshing.
Cascade Ice has some of the most creative and unique flavors you will find from Key Lime Lula Pear to Orange Pummelo to Pineapple Blueberry Banana. The sleek bottle and colorful label beg you to take a taste. The taste will keep you coming back. It’s nice to have a low calorie option in a great tasting drink.
