Have you ever wanted to freeze the world around you? What if you could have a special device that when you use it you could make yourself speed up so fast that it looks like the rest of the world around you is frozen in time? What would you do while the rest of the world was frozen?
If I was given the opportunity I would probably use the extra time to get some work done. I always feel like I’m running out of time or getting behind schedule on things I would like to finish. I tend to arrive late to things a lot, so I would be on time more.
In the movie Clockstoppers a boy named Zak takes what he thinks is a watch from his scientist father. What it is however is a device that will slow down the world around you. So what does Zak use the device for? Does catch up on his homework? Get to class on time?
Zak uses the device to pull pranks and to impress the new female exchange student Francesca.
The fun and games end when they have to save the world from the real owners of the watch who are obviously a little sinister and want it back.
This is a really fun movie to watch. I really enjoyed watching the world freeze. There were some particularly interesting shots during the movie, and it is upbeat enough to keep even the most restless child entertained for its duration.
This is a pretty family friendly movie that is appropriate for any elementary aged child. There are a few violent moments, and a gun that shoots ice pellets but nothing too extreme for younger children.
Clockstoppers is rated PG and is available where ever DVDs are sold or online at Amazon.com
