Freaky Friday: Live A Day As Someone Else

All of us have had those fights with our parents, or our children. You know the ones where someone says “I’d like you to try and live my life for a day”. Whether it is a mother not understanding what its like to be a teenager, or a teenager not understanding what its like to be an adult both parties in the argument usually think they are right. With no way to actually have someone live your life for a day no one can truly be certain who should win the argument.

In the movie “Freaky Friday” a mother and daughter have the opportunity to understand each other better when they switch bodies. After eating magic fortune cookies, Tess and her fifteen year old daughter Anna switch places allowing them to see what life is like on the other side.

In this version of the film Anna is in a rock band and is preparing for an important audition, while Tess is preparing to get married. The stress of high school and the real world has put a stress on their mother daughter relationship. While the two are switched they are able to learn a lot about each other as well as themselves, and in the end their relationship is much stronger for it.
