Tired of endlessly surfing the web looking for something to do? Try bored.com, where you can do everything from create fake news stories to watch music videos.
Bored.com is a fun web site that is filled with all sorts of things to do. When I first visited, I tried out the Santa bot. I have to say that it was one of the most accurate Santa chat’s that I have seen. The Santa spoke in full sentences that were very relevant. For example, when I told Santa that I had a bad cold, he said he would pray that I got well soon. Other bots I’ve tried would respond to the word “bad” and spit out some nonsense about being good this year.
There are plenty of funny and original music videos that are family friendly, such as “Pimp My Sleigh” and other song parodies. Other music choices include a tone deaf test, funny country song titles and humorous instructions on how to sing the blues.
The Falling Sand game is pretty interesting, and bound to have any really bored person engaged at trying to do different things to sand. You can “draw” on different materials, such as a wall or oil, to see how that affects the falling sand.
The Destroy Sites is more harmless than it sounds. You pick a favorite (or not so favorite) web site and a method of destruction, from kisses and snow to time bombs and fire. After selecting your options, hit the go button. You will be presented with your website that you can then destroy automatically or by clicking. Destroying is basically covering up parts of your website with animation, although the snow actually just gently falls out of the way.
You can even morph and warp celebrity photos to kill some time. Take that Paris Hilton!
