My moms’ group is the most incredible organization. We’re not a typical moms’ group with play dates. This moms’ group is all about events. For instance, this Thursday I’m going to the Best Toys for the Holidays event dinner. This is a mom’s night out event and the children get to stay home. Last year I brought home a pink bouncy dog for Jessie. This year one lucky mom is going to take home the Fisher-Price Bigfoot. I’m hoping to have a good enough number in the raffle to take home the Fisher-Price iXL, the Leapster Explorer or My Own Leaptop both from LeapFrog. I’ll have to do a better job of getting the toy home this time so we can save it for Christmas.
The group’s signature event is The Best & Hottest Products From Pregnancy To Preschool. There’s one four times a year and I’ve gone to each since April, 2009. I’ve gotten some really good stuff including a play tent, toddler rocking chair, and pack n play. I got the best prize at the last Best & Hottest. I drew number three in the raffle. I couldn’t believe it. I chose a Britax Frontier 85 in pink sky. Jessie has been in a Britax Marathon that’s pink with brown dots since she joined our family. She’s still rear facing at 33 pounds and 37 inches. She can stay rear facing for another two pounds as long as there’s an inch of shell above her head. Now instead of turning her marathon around when it’s time, Jessie can move into her brand new seat. The Frontier harnesses to 85 pounds and then is a belt-positioning booster to 100 pounds.
I am so excited about the new seat. I want to install it now because it’s new. Jessie’s safer rear facing so I’ll wait.
